What you walk away with

You've got the eye and the hands. The paperwork is what's missing.

Setting out a floor, cutting a clean edge, keeping a wet area watertight: you do this work already. Without an Australian qualification behind it, employers, licensing bodies and visa officers can't count it. Here's what you'll leave holding:

  • Set a room out from the plans so the pattern lands right
  • Prepare, level and screed surfaces so every tile sits true
  • Waterproof bathrooms, showers and balconies to Australian standard
  • Lay ceramic, porcelain, stone and glass across walls and floors
  • Cut tiles cleanly with wet saws, grinders and manual cutters
  • Set mosaics, patterns and decorative or heritage tiling
  • Grout, seal and finish for a result that lasts and looks sharp
  • Keep yourself and the site safe under Australian WHS rules
  • Finish holding CPC31320, recognised nationwide, not only where you studied
